Glynmill Inn, Corner Brook
The Glynmill Inn, opened in 1924, is a Designated Heritage Inn located just a short drive from Gros Morne National Park with modern amenities in each of its 81 guest rooms, including 27" remote control television with audio/video input, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, telephone with voice mail and modem.
Tucked away in the basement you'll find the excellent Wine Cellar Restaurant, offering char -grilled steaks and seafood, rack of lamb and char-grilled fresh Atlantic salmon. The Carriage Room (below left) is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features original painted murals depicting older English themes. Large windows overlook the grounds; traditional fare dominate our unique menus, from Fisherman's Breakfast with salt fish cakes, to crispy fried cod tongues with scrunchions and local partridgeberries and bakeapples incorporated in many desserts. King Henry's Pub offers a variety of beverages including imported ales, lagers and Irish beer on tap.
