Spread over 30 acres of pristine jungle, Ken River Lodge, popularly known as the Tree House, is a paradise for the wildlife enthusiast. It is situated on the banks of River Ken, adjoining the Panna Tiger Reserve and situated 26 kms from the famous erotic temples of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.
The lodge offers a unique blend of traditional hospitality and simple but comfortable accommodation in 6 village-style air-conditioned huts with attached modern bathrooms with w/c, hot and cold water, dressing room and sitting out area with stunning views of the river. There are also 5, 2-bedroom, family cottages.
The Tree House Restaurant serves both Indian and international food. There is also a well stocked Tree Top Bar with viewing platform over the river. The lodge offers game drives, birding and boating trips with naturalists.
OVERNIGHT CAMP - Ask for details about an overnight stay in the basic Jhinna Camp (4 walk-in canvas tents) run by local villagers in cooperation with Ken River Lodge. A night safari here gives you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals. Frequently seen animals include Civets, Jackal, Porcupine, Hyena, Fox, Sloth bear, Jungle cat, Blue bull and Cheetal. Also seen less frequently are leopards.
