Beit Zaman Village, Petra
Located in the hills above the town of Wadi Musa and the entrance to the Nabatean city of Petra, Beit Zaman is a skilful and careful transformation of a 19th century Jordanian village into a fully-functional modern hotel resort.
The conversion of the old village houses into modern accommodation has been carried out in keeping with the original architectural style of the region, while providing the comfort and modern amenities required by today's travellers. All 129 rooms are simply furnished with authentic local crafts, and feature a sitting area, private bathroom, air conditioning and heating.
The main restaurant offers buffet and a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, with views from the terraces of Petra's famous 'rose-red' mountains. The snack bar serves refreshing drinks and light meals around the village's indoor pool (pictured below) and the bar offers a large selection of beverages and cocktails. There is a small shopping arcade.
