Movenpick Resort at the Dead Sea

The Movenpick Resort beside the Dead Sea consists of 340 rooms and suites and a range of restaurants and bars. It is also home to the Zara Spa - one of the largest and most advanced spa operations in the Middle East and the only one of its kind in Jordan. The Spa is dedicated to pamper your senses, relax, revitalize and refresh your mind, body and soul. A professional team of therapists is on hand and the facilities include hydro-pools, pools with diverse salinity concentration, private rooms, a la carte treatments and massages. The Dead Dea is the lowest point on earth (408m/1,305 ft below sea level) and has year-round ultraviolet filtered sunshine, low humidity, ozone-rich air, and mineral-loaded seawater. The atmosphere over the Dead Sea is rich in bromine, magnesium and other minerals and the Therapy Centre uses these unique natural resources for prophylaxis, treatment and rehabilitation.

 


All standard rooms are comfortably equipped with a balcony overlooking the Dead Sea or the Nebo Mountains. These rooms feature two twin size beds (2x120cm) and have private bathrooms with bath tub and shower. Other facilities include a
ir-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, coffee and tea-making facilities, direct dial telephone, electrical adapters, hair dryer, high speed internet access, minibar,modem data port, safe for laptop, self-controlled heating system, voicemail and work desk with lamp.

 

 

The Al Saraya coffee shop, located in the main building, offers all day dining - with both a la carte and buffet meals. Indoor and outdoor seating available

There are 3 outlets located in the Village Square. Luigi's Italian Restaurant is a cheerful, airy eatery featuring a traditional wooden-fired pizza oven. Chopsticks (pictured left) features Asian cuisine in a sophisticated setting of warm colours, natural straw and bamboo chairs surrounded by authentic Chinese decoration; a semi terrace overlooking the Dead Sea and a beautiful balcony overlooking the Village Square are available. The Grill offers fine dining in a romantic, candle-lit setting.

The Al Khayyam Bar and Lounge, located at the main resort building, offers cocktails or light snacks and features evening live entertainment and belly dancer performances during winter.

The Splash pool bar and restaurant is located next to the resort's main swimming pools and serves refreshing drinks, light snacks, or a Movenpick ice cream of your choice.

The Juice Bar is located in the Zara Spa and has both indoor and outdoor seating. It offers fine Spa cuisine featuring light and healthy Oriental and Asian specialties. A fruit buffet is served throughout the day as well as freshly squeezed juices and detoxifying beverages plus a wide variety of teas are available.

Other resort facilities include beach, heated pool, summer beach pool, childrens pool and playground, 2 private pools and Jacuzzi, solariums, tennis court, extensive fitness room and Therapy Centre.
