10 days/9 nights

At the Porini Camps you will enjoy game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles (not vans) with excellent guides.  Other highlights include walks with Maasai warriors, the opportunity for night game drives, and access to exclusive wilderness areas with no tourist minibuses.  This gives you an authentic safari experience, staying in small exclusive camps with spacious guest tents, comfortably furnished with private bathrooms, solar lights, and located in attractive unspoilt natural settings. At the camps all meals, drinks (wine, gin & tonic, beer, sodas, mineral water), and activities like game drives, walks, night drives and sundowners are included in the price.

Recommended flight from London: Kenya Airways from London Heathrow (see below).  If you are travelling from a country other than the UK we would be happy to give you guidance on your flight options.

International Flights

We recommend the direct services of Kenya Airways from London Heathrow. Current timings (subject to possible change) are as follows:
Heathrow/Nairobi. Depart at 20.00; arrive Nairobi at 06.30 (next morning)
Nairobi/Heathrow. Depart at 23.45; arrive Heathrow at 06.45 (next morning)

You can book the flights yourself on the easy-to-use Kenya Airways website.  British Airways and Virgin Atlantic also offer daily flights to Nairobi, but due to their timings you may have to spend additional time in Nairobi.  Alternatively World Discovery can book the flights for you (we levy a service charge of £25 per person for this service).

The sample safari and beach tour shown above is our most popular Kenya holiday but it is exactly that - a sample tour.  We can change it to suit your precise requirements in may ways - by amending or ugrading the accommodation, by taking out or putting in additional sightseeing, by changing the number of nights in each place, by booking special meals, activities or cultural visits.  We are happy to advise and help you create your ideal holiday.

Kenya Holidays - Msambweni House, Mombasa

We have selected the Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa on Diani Beach for this sample itinerary but there are many other options.  You might prefer, for example, to choose a smaller, more boutique-style hotel like the exclusive Msambweni House in Mombasa (pictured).  PLease ask us for our recommendations.

Or perhaps, as an alternative to the Kenya coast, you might want to consider  the exotic island of Zanzibar?

Zanzibar Holidays - Zanzibar Serena Hotel

Located in historic Stone Town, the Zanzibar Serena Hotel, a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is a haven of tranquillity and opulence.

 Zanzibar Holidays - Breezes

For sheer indulgence beside the pristine white sand beaches of Zanzibar's east coast, the excellent Breezes is the perfect choice.

Popular extensions to the 'Mara Safari and Beach' tour include the following:

Kenya Holidays - Amboseli National ParkAMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

If you want to increase the number of days on safari you can add in a 2 night stay at the Amboseli Porini Camp in Selankay Conservancy.  This exclusive camp of just 9 tents is located beneath the snow-peak of Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, and offers superb game-viewing; Amboseli is particularly well-known for its elephants.
