Samode Palace is one of India's most charming and romantic hotels, winner of the award for the Best Heritage Hotel in India for 5 consecutive years. It offers a quiet, elegant and luxurious atmosphere, with high standards of modern hospitality, accommodation, services, cuisine and amenities.
Built in the 18th century, Samode Palace was transformed into a hotel in 1987, and is a perfect example of Rajput-Moghul architecture. The palace is built on a small hillock and planned in a progression of courtyards of increasing height.
The 43 spacious rooms and suites, all with a balcony or patio, are exclusive and are decorated in the warm colours and textures of local Rajasthani hand-block print textiles and adorned with traditional artifacts. They have marble, mosaic floorings, high ceilings, cotton woven rugs or "durries", antiques and beautifully carved four poster beds. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with tubs and separate showers, a hair dryer, air-conditioning, heating, minibar, in-room safe, satellite TV and DVD player, ipod dock, tea and coffee-making facilities, and international direct dial telephone. In addition to the Deluxe rooms and suites, there are 3 Royal Suites, with private courtyard, Jacuzzi and fireplace.
