It may sound clichéd, but the delightful Ariyasomvilla is very much an oasis amongst the high rise deserts of central Bangkok. A tastefully converted family house which was originally built in 1942, this English-run boutique property now offers 25 beautifully
appointed rooms and suites, as well as the excellent 'Na Aroon' Vegetarian* Restaurant, a
swimming pool, spa, and library.
* This highly regarded restaurant also offers a wide choice of seafood and fish dishes, accompanied by a good selection of wines, juices and smoothies. There are a number of good restaurants serving meat dishes within walking distance of the Ariyasomvilla.
The villa has been designed and appointed with quality local and imported
materials - old re-cycled teak floors, antique and reproduction
furniture and Thai silk drapes. The villa is surrounded by lush tropical gardens (designed by
the original owner´s granddaughter) which offer a welcome relief to the
bustling, busy city outside the gates.
World Discovery prices are based on the Studio Rooms (pictured below).
The 'Som Sen' Spa, located adjacent to the swimming pool, features an open sided Sala for Thai massage - up to 4 persons can be accommodated here at anyone time. There are also 3 private rooms for oil massage. Hair washing, manicure and pedicure are all available. There is a Jacuzzi and Steam Room.
